Certification ceremony of GAVO VTC trainees.. March 2007
On 13th march 2007, GAVO organized a gratuation ceremony in which 150 gratuated Skills-trainees have been given certificates by the Ministry of Education of Somaliland HE. Hassan haji Mohamud at Berbera youth multiprpose center. These trainees have been trained with at least six different skills at GAVO Vocational Training center in 2006 including Electricity, Carpentry, Computer, Plumbing and Fishing.
Commemoration for World AIDS Day.
1st of December 2006
GAVO, in collaboration with other CBOs/NGOs, government institutions and youth groups organized various preparatory meetings geared towards commemoration for WAD which took place on 1st December 2006. Among other activities during the week of campaign, GAVO disseminated IEC materials to various community members, held discussions in schools on HIV and AIDS issues and collaborated with other CBOs in organizing sports competitions of youth groups.
